Background - Newcastle United
Currently managed by Sam Allardyce, the team has performed quite well in their previous games and is one of the successful teams of the country. The club was formed in 1889 and participated in the region's first league competition the same year. The same year, Newcastle United turned professional Football Club. Club's name was legalized on 6 September 1895, when the company was constituted. Considered as one of the best teams in the country, Newcastle United qualified for five FA Cup Finals in seven years and appeared in the finals of 1905, 1906, 1908, 1910 and 1911. The club won FA Cup final in 1924 where they defeated Aston Villa to win the title for the second time. In 1951, the club defeated Blackpool, then defeated Arsenal in 1952, and defeated Manchester City in 1955 and won three titles within five years. The team returned as Second Division Champions in 1965 and was one of the toughest contenders in the country. The team qualified for Europe for the first time in 1968 and won the title. However the team was disappointed in 1974 against Liverpool in the FA Cup and in 1976 was defeated by Manchester City in the League Cup. The team was relegated to the Second Division in the 1980s but regained their position in the First Division in 1982. The team remained in the top flight until 1989.

Newcastle defeated Tottenham on 14th January 2007 with a score of 3-2, defeated Aston Villa on 31st January 2007 with a score of 3-1, defeated Liverpool on 10th February 2007 with a score of 2-1, defeated Zulte-Waregem on 15th February 2007 with a score of 3-1, defeated AZ Alkmaar on 8th March with a score of 4-2, defeated Sheff Utd on 7th April with a score of 2-1.
