Background - Hertha Bsc Berlin

Four young guys who named the club as BFC Hertha 92 that refers to Germanic fertility goddess formed Hertha. However Hertha merged with Berliner Sport-Club in 1920, due to their financial difficulties. Together the associations were named Hertha Berliner Sport Club. Ever since their collaboration, Hertha continued enjoying their unlimited success by displaying great energy and enthusiasm in their game. Hertha Football Club enjoyed the title of being the reigning champions during the formation of Bundesliga in 1963 and therefore became the foremost member of the new professional national league, Bundesliga. Despite of many ups and downs the club enjoys being the leading team of German football.
