Smoking Popes Tickets for Sale

The Smoking Popes were formed in 1990 in Crystal lake, Chicago. The band has had its share of success and fans would be eager to catch a ticket to one of their concerts. The Smoking Popes consist of The band lead singer Josh Caterer, Eli Caterer (guitar), Matt Caterer (bass) and Mike Felumlee (drums). Their punk/pop music is centered around lead singer Josh Caterer's craze for big band records and American black and white movies. The music of the popes would sound like any loud guitar band without their unique vocal style and lyrics that have an old time romantic feel.

The Smoking Popes released their debut album Get Fired in 1993. The album received acclaim all over. Their first full length album came in 1995, titled "Born to Quit." The offering was a runaway hit and their biggest success to date. The catchy single "Need You Around" rode the charts in both the American and British markets, and their new song "Gotta Know Right Now" featured on the soundtrack of Winona Ryder's movie, "Boys."

Their full length follow up was "Destination Failed" and was released in 1997. The album did not fare as well. The did enjoy a better response to their next record "I Know You Love Me." The band has a long list of supporters that include respected punk indie label Johann's Face and Green Day's Billie Joe.
