Simon and Garfunkel Tickets for Sale

Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel grew up streets from each other in Forest Hills in the Queens in New York. They met in elementary school in 1953 after performing in a school play together. They were classmates in junior high and high school. They seemed destined to become a volatile singing/songwriting pair that would go to sell millions of albums and Simon and Garfunkel tickets.

The two began actually performing together in their junior year in high school. Then they formed a group called Tom and Jerry. They almost immediately became a hit. Their first song to chart would be Hey, Schoolgirl in 1957. Despite the early success, the group could not capitalize on their hit song and they went their separate ways in 1958, with Simon going to Queens College and Garfunkel attending Columbia University. Even while apart, the two began following the same path, both joining chapters of Alpha Epsilon Pi fraternity and both discovering the folk scene in Greenwich Village.

Simon and Garfunkel performed again and again released material. Their album Wednesday Mornign, 3 A.M. failed to be a commercial hit. This led the two to take different paths. Simon went to the UK, sang at prominent clubs in London, and released a solo album. While touring in Europe he found out that the song 'The Sound of Silence' had become a hit. He came back to the states and reunited with Garfunkel. Simon and Garfunkel recorded a new album with several old sings tweaked to become the first of many successful folk rock albums to go platinum. Simon and Garfunkel tickets quickly became a must have for this new genre of folk rock.

Sounds of Silence; Parsley, Sage, Rosemary and Thyme; Bookends; and Bridge over Troubled Water made Simon and Garfunkel one of the most recognizable acts of the 1960s and their harmonizing with amazing lyrics that struck a chord with young America gave them staying power in the decades since. The pair has fought in studios over lyrics and song styles, broken many times, but they always seem to find peace on stage and reignited hopes that they will tour and sell Simon and Garfunkel concert tickets again.

The latest reunion came at the Beacon Theatre in New York City on February 13, 2009. The two played together and then announced plans to tour for the first time in five years. Both artists have solo tours, but a show schedule is expected soon from the legendary folk rockers. OnlineSeats will have Simon and Garfunkel tickets for these concerts once the dates are announced. We will have affordable seats with views throughout the seating chart and give fans young and old a chance to see the troubled pair sing together again.
