Swedish band Shout Out Louds were formed in Stockholm by childhood friends Adam (vocals), Ted (bass), and Carl (guitars) in 2001. They were soon joined by Eric (drums) and Bebban (vocals, keys). They started writing songs and came up with a demo tape consisting of three demo numbers. The songs pleased Filip Wilen, owner of Sweden's Bud Fox Recordings and he signed them immediately.

The band decided to concentrate on writing more songs for the rest of 2002. By December of the same year Shout Out Louds entered the recording studio and recorded four new songs. The songs became part of their debut EP titled "100" that was released in 2003. The band then toured Sweden and Scandinavia, their raw and High Energy music was a rage all over Sweden. The band followed the EP with two new singles "Hurry Up Let's Go" and "Shut Your Eyes."
In October 2003, Shout Out Louds released their first album " Howl Howl Gaff Gaff " which earned critical acclaim all over Sweden and Scandinavia. The Band spent 2004 touring. They also released "Please Please Please," "Very Loud/Wish I Was Dead," and the Oh, Sweetheart EP. Studying the popularity of their music, Shout Out Lous were signed by Capital Records in the U.S. The American version of "Howl Howl Gaff Gaff" was released in May 2005. The album consists of songs from the Swedish version as well as some earlier singles and tracks from their EP. The band has come into the limelight after touring with "The Dears" and getting airplay on the acclaimed show The OC.
