The city of Sedalia is located in the state of Missouri, United States. Sedalia falls in the Pettis County and is the county seat of the same. According to the 2006 Census Bureau estimates, the population of the city stands at 20,669.

Sedalia is just about 20 miles away from the River of Missouri and is a part of the 'Sedalia Micropolitan Statistical Area'. It was incorporated in the year of 1860 and as per the United States Census Bureau, the city covers a total area of 12 square miles, of which 100% is land.

The sate fair is held at the Missouri State Fairgrounds, which has also been the site of the 'Ozark Music Festival' in the year 1974 and the 'Delicious Rox Festival' in the year 2006.
