Artist Biography - Sasquatch Festival

 The 2005 Sasquatch festival was an amazing event. The epic line-up consisted of The Pixies, Modest Mouse, Wilco, The Arcade Fire, Kanye West and Bloc Party. Both the fans and bands performing braved the scorching heat of the desert. Bloc Party kicked things off with the full force of their music. Their debut album "Silent Alarm" was only a few months old and most of the fans got the first taste of their band's fury. Next to set the main-stage on fire was English beauty Jem. She delivered hits like "They" and "Save Me" and had almost good-looking girl in the venue dancing to her tunes...now that's what you call some quality entertainment!!. These acts were followed by rocking performances from The Arcade Fire, Wilco, Kanye West, the Pixies and Northwest locals Modest Mouse.
So what should we expect from Sasquatch 2006!? Well to name some.. the lineup is going to be more groovier and scintillating that last year. We can expect artists like Broken Social Scene, Nada Surf, Death Cab For Cutie, South, and The Stills to perform, as they will all on the road supporting of their new releases. One can hope that festival organizers can get them to the Gorge. The one thins that goes without saying is that it will one awesome event.
