The city of San Jose' is located in the state of California, United States. San Jose' falls in the Santa Clara County and is the county seat of the same. It is located in the Santa Clara Valley and according to 2006 United States Census Bureau estimates, the population of the city is 929,936, making it third most populous city in the state of California and the tenth-largest city in the country in terms of population.

Historically, San Jose' was known to be a farming city but presently, it is the heart of the Silicon Vally and is often referred to as the Capital of Silicon Valley. San Jose' was incorporated as a city in the year 1777. As per Census Bureau, the city covers an area of 178.2 sq miles, of which 98.14% is land.

San Jose' is a popular tourist places and features many places listed in the National Register of Historic Places for their architectural significance, such as the Downtown Historic District, the De Anza Hotel and the Hotel Sainte Claire.
