Artist Biography - Reggie And The Full Effect

In 1998, they came up with their debut album 'Greatest Hits 1984-1987' on Second Nature Recordings. They made a come back with their second full-length album 'Promotional Copy' in 2000 which was released on Vagrant Records. After a three-year rest period, Reggie released their third album, 'Under the Tray', in February of 2003. This album contained the single 'Congratulations Smack and Katy', which was later used in Reggie's first music video. It was also featured on the 'Burnout 3' soundtrack when the game was released in 2004. Their fourth album 'Songs Not to Get Married To', was released on March 29, 2005, this album was strong on the personal front as it was inspired by the divorce Dewees had gone through. The album features Ingram and Ben Perri, who was the lead singer for the band 'From Autumn to Ashes'. The songs from the album 'Take Me Home Please' can be heard playing in 'The Sims 2' with the lyrics changed to use the in-game language called 'Simlish' and also, the song 'Get Well Soon' was featured in the extensive 'Saints Row' soundtrack. Moreover, this album 'Songs Not To Get Married To' gives one a look at the man behind the curtain, it is the record that finally proves once and for all that James Dewees is Reggie and the Full Effect, and that Reggie and the Full Effect is, in fact, James Dewees.
From bass to snare, guitar to violin including bass, drums and undoubtedly the Keyboard, they all played by James Dewees on Reggie's recordings. He has taken numerous personas which are featured on the albums, including a British musician by the name of Fluxuation, who is reminiscent of artists from the New Wave and New Romantic styles, and Common Denominator, a Finnish band with more industrial sound and technique but similar to that of Germany's Rammstein.
Reggie and the Full Effect doesn't comprise any permanent member for its live performances, however, the lineup often consists of members of , The Get Up Kids, Coalesce, and The Esoteric, all of which are bands to whom Dewees has lent his musical talent. Many other notable members of various bands have also graced their shows like Hot Rod Circuit, The Anniversary, From Autumn to Ashes, Ultimate Fakebook, and most recently Shots Fired and Slipknot. In 2005, 'Reggie and the Full Effect' and 'Alkaline Trio' supported 'My Chemical Romance' together for the first time went on a tour which was considered a huge success as both the musicians and the crowd couldn't have enough of the show.
The latest updates on the new Reggie record is that as many as two full records have already been completed but their release date has still not been decided. However, this year the reggae has been touring with the band My Chemical Romance. The Reggae and the Full Effect is a versatile band and their show tickets are always advisable to be booked in advance.
