Pat Green is a singer/songwriter from Texas. He went to school at Texas Tech, and is known for his brand of "Texas country", which was made famous by Cory Morrow, Robert Earl Keene, and others.

Texas native Pat Green got his start in country music while still attending college in the mid-'90s. As a teenager, Green quickly took to the sounds of several Lone Star State performers like Robert Earl Keen, Waylon Jennings, Jerry Jeff Walker, and Willie Nelson.

Pat Green had never played a guitar until he set foot on the Texas Tech campus, but by the time he left Lubbock, this singer-songwriter had crafted and refined a talent that had people first whispering, then shouting that Pat Green would be the next Texas music superstar. And boy, were they right.

Pat started out playing college bars and dancehalls around Lubbock, but he never expected the double-fisted, beer-clenching, open-armed embrace he receive from his growing fanbase. He became the first choice as an opening act for the big shows that came to town, like those by country music greats Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings, Jerry Jeff Walker, Jack Ingram, and Robert Earl Keen, as well as rock 'n' rollers Jackopierce.

Pat loved performing with his heroes, but it soon became evident that he was going to do just fine as a headliner. He quickly found that no one factor contributed to his tremendous popularity as much as his live shows. With a stage presence unlike any of his contemporaries, Pat has left many a crowd dancing on tables and chanting his name well past closing time.

As his popularity rises to new levels, Pat unleashes his fourth CD (and second live album), Live At Billy Bob's Texas. Set to be released in spring '99, fans can't wait to hear their favorite singalong tunes...LIVE. Recorded in the essence of an explosive show on Dec. 4, 1998 at the world's largest honky-tonk, Billy Bob's Texas, this CD makes every listener feel as if he/ she is experiencing one of Pat's concerts from the front row. Fans who have seen one of his live shows can sit back and imagine Pat live onstage putting on his best performance. He pours his heart into each and every song, which brings his fans only closer to his music.
