It's no secret the Internet has helped to launch a lot of artists that otherwise wouldn't have the capability to get their name out to so many people. Case in point is Adam Young's one-man project that goes by the name Owl City. Young started Owl City in his parent's basement as a way to combat insomnia. What resulted is some heavily European dancehall and New Wave influenced music that has been catching like wildfire.

Owl City, with the occasional help of vocalists Breanne Duren and Relient K's lead vocalist Matt Thiessen has made some wonderfully melodic and beautiful music. The musical topics are all over the place and cover everything from urban planning, the elements and travel to more traditional topics like romance and heartache. The music is at once melodic and insightful. Beautiful and heartbreaking. Owl City is out touring now in support of its July, 2009 release called Ocean Eyes.
