Now with a solid lineup the band was ready to plunge into the world of music, they signed a recording deal with Sony BMG's Columbia label. However nothing came out of the union; the band soon parted ways with the company. The band was without a record deal and it was not sure whether to let go or stay, then they came to know that they had became one of the most popular bands on MySpace. The band realizing that it did have a fan base decided to stay put. Everything fell in place, hip-hop superstar producer Timbaland launched his Mosley Music Group label and signed OneRepublic as his first rock band.

The band got the much-required publicity after Timbaland remixed their single ‘Apologize' for his 2007 album ‘Timbaland Presents Shock Value'. The single became a big hit and reached at number two on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and number three on the U.K. Official Top 40 Week.

OneRepublic has their first single also released the actual version of the single on radio and online channels. The band came out with their eagerly awaited full-length maiden album ‘Dreaming Out Loud' in November 2007. It has been reported that the album is fast picking up sales.

OneRepublic, a rock band from Colorado has shaken the music world with its single ‘Apologize'. Timbaland's album ‘Timbaland Presents: Shock Value' has the remix of the hit single which further added to its popularity. Myspace has been instrumental in helping the band increase its fan base.
OneRepublic, came into existence through the efforts of singer/pianist/guitarist Ryan Tedder and lead guitarist Zach Filkins. The duo after forming the band shifted to Los Angeles for greener pastures. To further solidify the band's line up, the duo roped in keyboardist Drew Brown, bassist and cellist Brent Kutzle and drummer Eddie Fisher.
