They lost their two leading scorers. Guard Diamond Gladney will get more time in the backcourt after averaging 12 minutes per game along with 6'-4' junior James Bridgewater. Three forwards return, though they lack height. 6'-5' Junior Jeff Halbert (9 ppg) was the third leading scorer last season. He is joined up front by 6'-6' senior Terren Harbut and 6'-5' sophomore F Sonny Troutman.

Freshman Mychal Green, a 6-4 guard, comes aboard and was the fourth-leading scorer among California junior college players last year, averaging 22.2 points per game. He was a two-time first-team all-state selection and was named Most Valuable Player of the Coast Conference North as a sophomore. Green also averaged 5.1 rebounds, two assists and two steals per game, while shooting 51 percent from three-point range. Since this team needs help, he may get time right away. A winning record will be difficult in the competitive MAC.
The Ohio Bobcats are still rebuilding, with a young team that lacks height in the frontcourt. After going 14-16 SU (17-11 ATS) two years ago, the Bobcats averaged just 66 ppg last season and went 10-20 SU. Still, they went 14-9 ATS giving them a strong 31-20 spread record the last two seasons. Ohio was 1-15 SU/6-6 ATS on the road, and 9-5 SU/8-3 ATS at home.
