Are the Chicago Blackhawks ready for the season?

The Chicago Blackhawks play in the central division of the western conference. They have spent most of training camp avoiding answering any questions about a repeat or a dynasty, since they are the defending Stanley Cup Champions. Those questions are always asked of any team the following year, but seeing as the Chicago Blackhawks were able to resign most of last years team, the questions are even more in line.

The only major loss that the Chicago Blackhawks suffered over the off season was that of Ray Emery to free agency. The biggest news though was that they offered and signed most of their big players to major contract extensions. Some of those were Corey Crawford and Niklas Hjalmarsson.

The Chicago Blackhawks will open their preseason next week at home with the first game against Detroit on the 17th of September and another game against Pittsburgh on the 19th. Those should be good games, even if they are preseason games, and everyone knows the fans that Pittsburgh brings. They will end the preseason at home against Washington on the 28th of September.

The regular season for the defending champion Chicago Blackhawks will begin at home on October 1st against Washington. If there is a chance of making that home opener in Chicago, then that is the game to be at. The excitement and enjoyment of this game, the start of the season should be a one of a kind experience. Then again, any chance you get to take in Chicago Blackhawks game this season should be an amazing experience, and if the analyst's are correct, then you might be seeing a repeat season, history in the making. What could be better than that?
