Winnipeg Jets Tickets

Led by captain Andrew Ladd, the Winnipeg Jets are looking to improve on their basically average season last year. Amongst the controversy involving 21 year old Burmistrov against Claude Noel and Ollie Jokinen, the Jets are looking to take their loss of key players and turn it around to a positive change.

Jets Offense

Offensively, there is potential with the foursome of captain Andrew Ladd, Evander Kane, Blake Wheeler, and Bryan Little. All who seem to hang around the numbers that keep them at the average level. The offense is definitely in need of a leader to step up and make aggressive plays that will end in much needed points. With the addition of Devin Setoguchi, the Jets are making an effort to improve their scoring drives, but without help, Setoguchi won't have too much momentum.

Jets Defense

The Winnipeg Jet's defense needs work. While blocks and hits are doing well, they alloed 2.94 goals per game last year, which is unacceptable when trying to secure a win. Hoping to improve their penalty kill - which could really use the help - they added MIchael Frolick. This move could give the defense the boost it needs to improve all over. The last trick in the hat comes with the addition of Adam Pardy, who is an aggressive defensive player who hopes to make a big impact on this side of the game. Good news is, Ondrej Pavelec will remain the solid player he has been in the net throughout this season.

Overall, the Jets' most important weakness is remaining healthy. Key players were out for long periods of time last season due to injury, which put a bind on the team, and on the flow of their game. Staying healthy will be a necessity if this team wants to be seen as a contender this season.

Finally, there are high hopes surrounding rookie Jacob Trouba, who is only 19 years old. He is thought to bring a lot to this Jets team, and rumor is; he could be just what they need to make that break from average to big contenders.
