The Tennessee Titans have quietly had a nice turnaround after starting the year off 0-6. Now the Titans are 3-6, but they are still in last place in the AFC South. Still, this is a pleasant surprise for a fan base at LP Field that had this team written off by Week 4. The three wins include a division win against the Jaguars, a huge upset win over the 49ers, and a win over the NFL's most dysfunctional franchise of the 2009 season, the Bills. This recent reverse has come with Vince Young at the helm. Young has been given a chance to jump start his career after it appeared over just a season ago. Young still has a decent QB rating at 85.9. In the last four games he has thrown for 507 yards, two touchdowns, and thrown two picks. He has also run for 78 yards and run one in. The true reason for the Titans turnaround may be running back Chris Johnson. Johnson is suddenly leading the league with 1,071 yards and an incredible running average of 6.4 yards per carry. It seems that as long as the football is in his hands, something can happen. The Tennessee defense is in search of its own Chris Johnson. The Titans defense bottomed out this year, allowing the third most points per game in the league at 28.3. They have no answer for the pass and are hardly run-stopping specialists. The remainder of the Titans schedule includes four games at home at LP Field. Fans will be excited to see if they play spoilers when they play the Colts, Cardinals, and Chargers. Fans have a new reason to purchase Tennessee Titans tickets and that is to see what the team can salvage at the end of this season.
