Patriots Tickets 2010 Playoffs The New England Patriots lost to the Houston Texans in Week 17, which did little to hurt them. They are still the number three seed in the AFC for the 2009-10 NFL playoffs. However this 10-6 team that won the AFC East will likely have to play without wide receiver Wes Welker. The Ravens are tough against the run and decent against the pass. New England is without a dominant runner, but need the platoon of backs (Laurence Maroney, Kevin Faulk, Sammy Morris, Fred Taylor, and BenJarvus Green-Ellis) to create enough of a presence to force the defense to respect the play action. The play action opens up the deep bomb to wide receiver Randy Moss or the underneath route. Without Welker, Julian Edelman or Sam Aiken has to thrive in that role. The Patriots already had a problem with these guys not emerging in as the third receiver, so this could be a potential disaster. The defense was a near top-ten unit this season yards wise and the fifth best scoring defense. Still, the Patriots struggled to stop the run, which is where the Ravens thrived. New England will have to make adjustments for an opponent that may have worse record and the last seed in the AFC playoffs, but are seemingly perfectly put together to beat New England. The lone promising fact is that the Ravens were just 503 on the road and the Patriots were 8-0 at home. After the Ravens, the Patriots will play Chargers, if they win. The Chargers are a high scoring team that arguably gives New England a better chance to win, though the Patriots abysmal 206 road record is not encouraging. Still, Patriots tickets for the playoffs have been a good buy for the last few seasons and this team is likely to pull it together just because of whom they are and the pure will of their coach.

The franchise might not always been bad, but they had a hard time erasing the game from people's memories. Since Y2K did not end the world as we know it, the Patriots have become a dominant team that will be the face of the first decade in the 2000s. The club won the Super Bowl in 2001, 2003, and 2004 and have made Tom Brady a household name. Seats were rarely in use this past season when the Patriots used the deep field combination of Brady and Randy Moss to beat teams into submission. New England went an incredible 16-0, the first team to win out in the regular season since the Dolphins in 1972. New England did not get its fairy tale ending as fans were hoping for when they bought Super Bowl tickets. Instead, the New York Giants and Eli Manning had their own Cinderella season and walked away with the Lombardi Trophy.
