The low point of this 0-5 season for the Kansas Chiefs came in Week 2 when they lost to the Oakland Raiders 13-10. The next three games were all losses and he defense struggled in all three, but the bright spot has been the play of Matt Cassel. Cassel came back from injury in Week 2 and has posted some lackluster stats, including an 85.1 quarterback rating, but he has managed to throw seven touchdown passes. Overall, the Kansas City Chiefs offense has averaged a lowly 16.8 points a game and manages to only cover 162.4 yards a game over the air. The rushing average is respectable at 95.6, but the feature back is just getting 2.4 yards a carry and has more fumbles than touchdowns (0 to 2). The last game at home at Arrowhead Stadium against Dallas gave the Chiefs some hope that they could win a couple of games and let the Raiders fall to the bottom of the AFC West standings. They took the game to overtime before being burned again by Mario Austin in the 26-20 loss. The Chiefs have managed to stay ahead in the turnover battle, taking the ball away six times and turning it over just four times. They are lucky that Larry Johnson and Matt Cassel have only lost one of their five collective fumbles. The defense has issues against the pass and the run, meaning that any team with a coherent offensive strategy could beat them. Still, the fact that they can score somehow gives them hope. The Kansas City Chiefs will have a chance to win a game coming up in Week 6 against the Redskins. In weeks 9 and 10 they have two more winnable games against the Jaguars and the Raiders. Then the schedule gets pretty much un-winnable until the Chiefs travel to meet the Browns in Week 15. Look for terrific Kansas City Chiefs tickets through the selection on OnlineSeats.
