Jacksonville Jaguars History

 Jacksonville Jaguars tickets have been sold since 1995, when the expansion football franchise first took the field at the then Jacksonville Municipal Stadium. The early Jacksonville Jaguars football teams featured an explosive offense thanks to scramble-happy left-handed quarterback Mark Brunell, wide receiver Jimmy Smith, and running back James Stewart. The Jaguars were 9-7 in just their second season and made an improbable run to the AFC Championship game before being dismissed by the New England Patriots 20-6. The Jaguars would win the AFC Central in 1998 and 1999, even going 14-2 in the 1999. That season the Tennessee Titans decimated the football team in the AFC Championship 33-14. This proved to be the end of a promising era for Jacksonville. Jack Del Rio would take over in 2003 after mismanagement of the cap had stripped the team of its talent. Del Rio has had some success with both Byron Leftwich and David Garrard behind center, but has mostly struggled with a subpar offense and often just as subpar defensive effort.
