Ravens Tickets 2010 Playoffs The Baltimore Ravens gave there fans a chance for playoff tickets after beating the Oakland Raiders in the last week of the season. They were part of a crowded field of 8-7 teams. The 9-7 record earned them the sixth seed in the AFC in the 2009-10 NFL Playoffs. They come in ahead of the Pittsburgh Steelers, who nearly came back from a disastrous fall in the middle of the season schedule. Luckily the Ravens won enough division games to come in second in the division and enough conference games to compete with some of the best in the AFC. Baltimore finished near the top of the pack in scoring differential despite the 9-7 record. They come into the playoffs outscoring opponents by 130 points on the season. That means they average more than 8 points a game more than there foes. They do this with a defense that is pretty good against the pass and very good against the rush. This football team does not have the dominating defense of years passed, but they allowed the third least yards and points in the entire NFL. This is sure to be a huge factor in the playoffs. Sometimes this season the coaches realized that no matter how much fans loved quarterback Joe Flacco, he was not going to be a Peyton Manning, at least not this season. The Ravens focused on the running game to set up big shots with play action plays down the field. The team averaged 137.5 yards on the ground and 213.7 yards through the air. Flacco threw for 3,613 yards with a very respectable 21 touchdowns and 12 interceptions. Wide receiver Derrick Mason caught 73 passes for 1,028 yards despite his very veteran status and running back Ray Rice led the team in receptions with 78. Add in the danger of tight end Todd Heap over the middle with 53 receptions and 593 yards and this team can move the ball. Ray Rice broke out this year, initially splitting time with running back Willis McGahee, but eventually establishing himself as the primary back. Rice ran for 1,339 yards and seven touchdowns on 5.3 yards a carry. McGahee was somewhat of a statistical thief (especially early in the season), scoring 12 touchdowns despite carrying the ball just 109 times. This team is going to be a challenge for their wild card round opponent, the New England Patriots. The pass defense is decent and the rushing defense is very good. This could easily be an upset and make getting Ravens tickets for the playoffs a great buy.

|
 The Baltimore ravens got to take the team out of Cleveland in 1996, but not its history. Thus, the franchise began a new that season. Things did not start out too well, but within five years Ravens fans were buying Super Bowl tickets as the new staunch defense that would characterize the Ravens dominated the Giants in Super Bowl XXXV. The Ravens have struggled since with the offensive limitations that were temporarily relieved by Jamal Lewis. In the end season tickets have given fans a view of a crushing defense led by Ray Lewis that hits quarterbacks hard and stops the runs as good as any team in the league. That was during the Brian Billick era though, now that his time has passed, it will be interesting to see what happens to the hard-nosed football team that rule din Baltimore. The M&T Bank Stadium will have plenty of seats and tickets as the team transitions in new directions with new philosophies.
