Atlanta Falcons Tickets

The Atlanta Falcons are on a mission to erase memories of the distant and not-too distant past. The franchise enters the NFL playoffs the number one seed and is bent on making fans forget the embarrassing showing two seasons ago when they once again had the number one seed, the failed Michael Vick years, and the lone Super Bowl appearance, one which ended in a futile effort. Atlanta Falcons tickets to the Georgia Dome bring home field advantage through the divisional round and the NFC conference championship, a fact these football fans are hoping is a factor in getting the team to Super Bowl XLVII inNew Orleans.

The Mercedes-Benz Superdome is not a long trip, a mere 470 miles for the NFC South division champion to travel to become a first time NFL champion. This journey has far more arduous tasks than the mere mileage. The Atlanta Falcons are not an overwhelming number one seed. The offense hides its running deficiencies with a superb passing game and the defense has managed to keep the opposition’s points totals low, but only because of timely turnovers.

Whoever the Falcons play in the team’s first postseason game, the opposition will possess an impressive running game. Destiny has already made it clear Adrian Peterson and the Minnesota Vikings, Alfred Morris and RGIII and the Washington Redskins, or Marshawn Lynch and Russell Wilson and the Seattle Seahawks will be making the trip south. Two of these teams have excellent running quarterbacks in addition to great running backs and one has the NFL’s best running back. This is a test for a Falcons defense that proved it could stop the run at times, but not consistently.

These teams will have to contend with the Falcons terrifying passing game. Matt Ryan was finally given free reign over the field and has been a nightmare for defensive coordinators and secondaries all season long. He has two number one receivers running routes and a tight end who may no longer be a huge playmaker, but is still one of the best receivers at his position. These wide receivers are Roddy White and Julio Jones. Both players are explosive on the outside, though White is a bit better catching the ball over the middle and Jones is better on crossing routes. Tony Gonzalez does not have to be the best playmaker on the field and he is happily setting up in the seam and establishing position to move the chains. Any help from the running backs before the red zone is a plus, as they have been great inside the red zone in the last half of the season.
