Sacramento Kings Tickets

The Sacramento Kings have some rebuilding to do under new head coach Michael Malone. The team is hoping to put a new emphasis on the defensive side of the floor. Malone was known as a defensive specialist when he was an assistant coach for the New Orleans Hornets and the Golden State Warriors. DeMarcus Cousins is a player that the franchise continues to try to build around. The fact of the matter is thought that Cousins attitude may ruin their upcoming season. The fact that Tyreke Evans left the team in free agency does hurt the Sacramento Kings overall. The team did acquire Grevis Vasquez and during the offseason, but that won't likely fill the hole left by Evans. The Sacramento Kings will lean upon young point guard Isiah Thomas in order to fill a large portion of that hole.

It is hard to tell exactly where the team is going with their roster. The Kings acquired both Chuck Hayes and Carl Landry. Landry and Hayes do a lot of the same things for the team, despite Landry's improved ability to score the basketball. Marcus Thorton and Jason Thompson need to be able to help a young rooke like Ben McLemore make the necessary adjustments in order to survive in the NBA/ The Sacramento Kings can expect a fairly large contribution from a young guard like Ray McCallum. McCallum will simply surprise some people.

Western Conference

Unless the Sacramento Kings get huge contributions from Jimmer Fredette, Patrick Patterson and John Salmons it is hard to see where the Kings can climb within the standings of the Western Conference. All three of the players listed above are proven NBA players, but there are simply too many teams in the Western Conference that have spent more money than the Sacramento Kings in the offseason. The money spent does mean that many of those teams will be able to leapfrog the Kings.
