Phoenix Suns Tickets

Phoenix Suns Tickets
This year is certainly going to different at the US Airways Center. No longer will Phoenix Suns tickets be available to watch as Steve Nash somehow keeps a team with a deficiency in talent competitive. Instead, this is the first season dedicated to youth and rebuilding. Half the team remains from the roster a season ago and only one figures to play an important role over the next few years, center Marcin Gortat. Otherwise, the starting lineup has four new players. Power forward Luis Scola and point guard Goran Dragic arrive from Houston and small forward Michael Beasley and shooting guard Wesley Johnson arrive from Minneapolis. These players, with the exception of Scola, are young cast offs and the Suns staff is convinced they are capable of turning around at least a couple of them.
Dragic already played point in Phoenix, but he is back after having the season in which he gets “it” for the Rockets. He is not Nash, but Nash-lite. He is a capable playmaker with a decent shot inside and outside of the arc. Really, Dragic has two years to convince General Manager Lance Blanks and Coach Alvin Gentry he is the long term answer. Otherwise, rookie Kendall Marshall will have had enough time to learn the NBA game to leap frog Sebastian Telfair and start at point.
Beasley is an immensely talented player who is cursed as a tweener. He is neither a natural three nor four. He is expected to be a starting forward this season and needs to shed his immature image. He also needs to start going right and settling for a midrange jumper. If anything, Scola could be an asset to teach Beasley it is Ok to try on defense. Johnson is a future glue guy and is a great fit to play with Dragic. He is a spot shooter who is tall and plays good defense. It is unfortunate he could not find a home in Minnesota, but nothing about his game suggests he does not belong in the NBA.
This is going to be a very interesting year in Phoenix. With a team so young and enduring so much turnover, there are going to be plenty of trying moments and plenty of promising plays. If anything, the 2012-2013 season is about finding out which of these guys can play and how to proceed over the course of the next couple of drafts.
