Durant and the Thunder would be a sub-.500 team without him. Rookie James Harden is almost averaging double figures coming off the bench. He is part of an underwhelming supporting cast. Each has there roles. Nenad Krstic gives the Thunder some sort of a center, Thabo Sefolosha gives them a perimeter defender, Nick Collison gives them a forward that can occasionally score or and hit the boards. The Oklahoma City Thunder are still young and still trying to put the pieces together, but they are playing great with what they have.

 The Oklahoma City Thunder have moved from Seattle and changed their name, and Thunder tickets should be just as highly anticipated as they were in the Pacific Northwest. The seasons in Seattle yielded a championship in 1979 with a team led by Dennis Johnson. He and Gus Williams led the team to a 52-30 record and to the NBA Finals for a rematch with the Washington Bullets. The Bullets won the previous season's finals, but this series belonged to the Sonics, who won four straight games after losing the Finals series opener. Talented players took the court in the 1908s, but it was not until the 1990s that the team could find the right pieces to become a dominant team again. Shawn Kemp, Gary Payton, and Detlef Schrempf and a supporting cast that included Nate McMillan, Sam Perkins, and Hersey Hawkins became annual contenders for the Western Conference title. In the 1995-96 season the talented cast and Coach George Karl went to the NBA Finals. The championship tickets were sold for an exciting series with the Chicago Bulls in the first full season back from Michael Jordan after his attempt to play baseball. The Bulls would win the series in six games, but the Sonics would continue to remain competitive until the strike-shortened season of 1998-99. Though Sonics tickets sold well each game, a conflict between ownership and the city over the need for a new arena and how it would be paid for eventually sparked the move of the team to Oklahoma City where the franchise will sell tickets as the Thunder.
