Brooklyn Nets Tickets
The Brooklyn Nets enter the 2013 NBA playoffs as a flawed basketball team. They have two offensive players that are ranked among some of the best at the positions and roles, but they have few other options to maintain floor spacing. Plus, the team defense is troubling. The club is coming into the postseason playing quite well though, so Brooklyn Nets tickets to the Barclays Center may last a couple series this postseason.
Deron Williams is playing out of his mind in the second half of the season, once again joining the list of the top point guards in the NBA. He is both scoring at will and making use of his secondary scoring options. Brooks Lopez has been undervalued for a while. He has not been the most consistent player in his career. However, now Lopez has mastered the postgame and is a very effective cog in the team defense concept. Yes, Brooklyn is better on both ends of the floor with the much maligned Lopez on the floor.

The Brooklyn Nets are back in the city limits of New York 25 years after having been forced across the river in New Jersey. Of course, back in 1967 the team debuted in Jersey as the Americans, but that lasted one season before moving to New York as the Nets. This was when the franchise played in the ABA.
These ABA teams were led by Julius Erving. Dr. J was a magical basketball player with an unstoppable finger roll and a unique ability to glide effortlessly to the rim. He won three MVPs in a Nets uniform and the franchise won two championships. Dr. J was taken from the franchise after the ABA merged with the NBA, but the Nets quickly went to work finding a new star to build around. They tried Bernard King and Buck Williams. Both were fan favorites and Buck managed to consistently get the team into the playoffs in the 1980s.
The next decade came with significant change. Williams went to Portland and Derrick Coleman and Kenny Anderson led the team for the first half of the decade. They were both talented and volatile and were traded. The club struggled and would do so until Kenyon Martin and Jason Kidd arrived. The Nets were suddenly the best basketball team in the Eastern Conference, but the conference was a glorified minor league to the Western Conference in the beginning of the 21st century. New Jersey played in two consecutive NBA finals, though the team lost both.
Eventually, Kidd had to leave. In his absence, the front office needed a star point guard and pried Deron Williams from the Jazz. They added Brook Lopez to give the scoring point a threat in the post and have moved back to the city, albeit the borough of Brooklyn. Still, they have a new stadium in the Barclays Center and an ownership team comprised of a billionaire from Russia and a hip hop mogul by the name of Jay-Z.
