Miami Heat Tickets
The Heat lost the first 17 games of its 1988-89 debut season, setting an NBA record for the most losses to begin a season. Finishing the year with a 15-67 win-loss record, Miami used its poor finish to its advantage, selecting forward Glen Rice and guard Sherman Douglas in the 1989 NBA draft. The club's record slowly improved over the next few years. During the 1991-92 season the team registered a 38-44 record, qualifying for its first playoff appearance. The inexperienced Heat, however, were defeated by the Chicago Bulls in the first round in three straight games.
The Heat returned to the playoffs in 1993-94 by posting a 42-40 win-loss record, the team's first winning season. Rice led the team in offense, scoring 21.1 points per game. In the playoffs Miami lost to the Atlanta Hawks in the first round, three games to two.
The Heat made several personnel moves during the 1994-95 season, trading Seikaly and Long and adding forward-center Kevin Willis to the roster. The team's ownership also changed when the Arison family bought out both Schaffel and Cunningham for controlling interest of the franchise. Despite the changes and the high scoring of both Willis and Rice, the team finished the season with a record of 32-50.

Miami Heat 2009-10 Season Preview
|
 The Miami Heat is always a threat to make the playoffs and 2009-2010 will be no exception. Dwayne Wade is still a perennial NBA superstar, and Jermaine O'Neal and Udonis Haslem back him by providing the Heat with an inside game. Additionally, besides the acquisition of Quentin Richardson in the offseason, the Heat can also look forward to promising talents Daequan Cook, Mario Chalmers, and Michael Beasley, to step up and keep them serious postseason contender. The good news last season was that Dwayne Wade was nothing short of spectacular in Miami, as he returned from an injury-plagued 2008 campaign to once again carry the Heat on his very broad shoulders, and leading them back to the playoffs. The bad news was that unfortunately rookie coach Erik Spoelstra's team could not take advantage of 2-1 series lead in the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs, and the Heat eventually lost to an athletic but inconsistent Atlanta Hawks team in seven games. On the positive side, Wade was still able to team with wing Michael Beasley and backcourt partner Mario Chalmers, to successfully lead the Heat back to the postseason, which definitely beats the 15-67 record of the previous year – Pat Riley's final season on the Miami sideline. With little offseason roster activity, the Heat will try to make a serious run at the second round of the playoffs, and hopefully further, with the talent they currently have in house. If Miami is to go far into the playoffs, Beasley will have to elevate his game after a poor playoff showing as a rookie, while Jermaine O'Neal – now training with Tim Grover, the man who created Michael Jordan's workout regimen in the early 1990s – will be looking to justify and benefit from an offseason defined by sweat and sacrifice. If Beasley and O'Neal perform up to their capabilities, the Heat should be successful in the playoffs without Dwayne Wade having to carry the entire team on his own. Miami Heat tickets are once again a valuable asset, so come to the American Airlines Arena to watch Michael Beasley and Dwayne Wade team up to take the team back to the NBA postseason once again.
