Cleveland Cavaliers Tickets

Cleveland Cavaliers Tickets
There were serious concerns Kyrie Irving would be a waste of a first draft last season. Instead, those with Cleveland Cavaliers tickets were treated to the play of a confident and talented young man fully capable of playing at a stellar-level in the NBA with only half a season in college. Thus, when those same fans arrive and watch an even more in doubt prospect shooting guard Dion Waiters, they will once again expect glimpses of greatness. For this club is in it for the long term, so the basketball faithful at Quicken Loans Arena will be happy to see Cleveland become the new Oklahoma City and reach the upper echelon of the league within a few seasons.
Waiters seemed to prove doubters right when he arrived to summer league out of shape, but General Manager Chris Grant insists he is giving Byron Scott a player capable of taking over the starting shooting guard spot by the end of the regular season. Waiters is a combo guard who can play both with and without the basketball. This means, if he is another hit for Grant, he is a player who can take it to the rim, who can shoot off the dribble, and can catch and shoot from deep. He is dogged by questions about his size and the fact he came off the bench at Syracuse instead of starting.
The other prospect added in the draft is big man Tyler Zeller. Zeller is an incredible athlete and happens to be seven feet tall. Cleveland is not expecting him to replace Anderson Varejao, but simply add depth at center. If he develops into a good weakside defender to keep up the defensive pressure once the second unit takes the floor, then he will have been a worthy draft pick at number 17. Varejao is coming back injury, so he is simply coming into the season trying to re-establish his role as an energetic defender. Another player looking for a fresh start is small forward Omri Casspi. Two seasons ago he shocked the NBA establishment and last season he underwhelmed. This season he gets to start. This is going to be another year in which the Cavs build, so know this is a team to watch not as a contender but one just trying to show glimpses of greatness in the post-LeBron years.
