Possessing an unmatched talent, and backed by an energetic band, Natalie Mac Master continues to daze audience worldwide with her warm, sizzling, enthusiastic and mesmerizing step dancing. Born on June 13, 1972, she is an award-winning violinist, belonging to a rural community of Troy in Inverness County, Nova Scotia, Canada. Natalie is one of the well known and distinguished artist in the tradition of Cape Breton fiddle music. She started playing the violin at the age of 9. at this very sound only, she gave her first performance at a square dance in Glencoe Mills, Nova Scotia. She is famous as a talented and starred musician who has taken her career to the heights of success. With constant traveling and touring to Europe and Asia and doing as many as 250 shows in a year, she has generated a huge fan base around the world. Other than performing solo, she has supported many famous artist like the Chieftains, Carlos Santana, Faith Hill and Alison Krauss. Additionally, she has performed at many festivals around the world like the Celtic Colours festival in Cape Breton, MerleFest in the United States and Celtic Connections in Scotland.

At the age of 16, she released her debut album, "Four on the Floor". Her first effort received a favorable response from critics as well as fans. In 1991, She released her second album, "Road to the Isle". These albums were self-produced by Natalie ans were released only on cassette. In 1998, Rounder Records re-released as "A Compilation" including all hit tracks except few. Her other class hit albums include "Fit as a Fiddle" in 1993, "No Boundaries" in 1996, "My Roots are Showing" in 1998 which was nominated for Grammy Award, "In My Hands" in 1999, "Live" in 2002, "Blueprint" in 2003, and "Traditional Music from Cape Breton Island" in 2005. Recently , she has come up with her latest release " Yours Truly" in 2006. Natalie has proved her capability and talent by stepping up success with a new enthusiasm everyday and with every new release.
She has been awarded with numerous Canadian music awards. She received many "Artist of the Year" awards from the East Coast Music Association. She was awarded with two Juno awards for best instrumental album and "Fiddler of the Year" from the Canadian Country Music Association. She was honored by Niagara University, New York in 2006 with an honorary Doctorate . Recently, She has expanded her musical assemblage to some more extent by wonderfully mixing her Cape Breton roots with Scotland and Ireland music along with American bluegrass.

She was honored with the membership of the Order of Canada in 2006. She is well renowned for for energetic live performances full of incandescent energy, toe-tapping and rhythmic intensity. Till date, she has performed in her concerts with with Santana, Pavarotti, Faith Hill, Don Henley, The Chieftains, Paul Simon,, Michael McDonald and many other distinguished symphony orchestras. She has been featured with her awesome performance on national television programs like "The Tonight Show" with Jay Leno, "Late Night" with Conan O'Brien, ABC's New Year's Eve special "ABC 2002" and Good Morning America.
