Texas Rangers Tickets
The Texas Rangers had a great season in 2009. They surprised the baseball world by posting a team ERA that landed them in the middle of the American League, which is quite shocking since they play home games at Rangers Ballpark in Arlington. The fans got their Texas Rangers tickets worth with a batting order full of homerun hitters. Last season this lineup hit plenty of homeruns but finished in the middle of the league in runs scored. Still, overall, the Rangers went 87-75 and finished in second place in the AL West. The upcoming season could be even better if the team's additions play as well as management hopes. Sure, the Rangers lost Marlon Byrd to the Chicago Cubs in free agency, but they struck back by signing starting pitcher Rich Harden. Harden becomes the de facto staff ace after the departure of Kevin Millwood. The Rangers also added Vladimir Guerrero from the Angels. He will most likely play DH with Josh Borbon taking over Byrd's role in centerfield. David Murphy is ready to step in if Borbon is unable to handle the new starting role. The team really is quite complete. Every batter in the batting order provides something, whether it is speed, contact, or power. Third baseman Michael Young hits for contact and power, right fielder Josh Hamilton is a power hitter when healthy, shortstop Elvis Andrews is a base stealing threat, left fielder Nelson Cruz can do anything but hit for average, and that is a ditto for second baseman Ian Kinsler. The list goes on. The pitching features a starting rotation with a new ace in Harden. Scott Feldman, Derek Holland, Brandon McCarthy, and Tommy Hunter complete the rotation with Dustin Nippert ready to replace any struggling starter. The bullpen is a bit iffy, but Frank Francisco has been as consistent as any other closer that has to pitch in the humid ERA-inflating Texas summer air. A major concern has to be that ancient Darren Oliver is the best lefty option in the bullpen. He held up in 2009, but this is a player that turns 40 in 2010 playing a key role for the Rangers.

Rangers History
|
The Texas Rangers spent the first 11 seasons in Washington selling MLB tickets as the Senators, but son realized that they had to move to remain financially stable. The team packed and moved to the southwest, settling in Arlington, Texas and becoming the Rangers. There, the move inspired a run of success that ended the bottom dwelling that fans with tickets witnessed in Washington. The Rangers wavered between good and bad seasons for the next few years, but kept the attendance up by attracting power pitcher Nolan Ryan to sell tickets. With a potential no-hitter coming every time he pitched, Ranger tickets were god buys and the seats stayed filled. By the late 1980s, the Rangers had built enough talent to become a major contender in the American League West for the first time in their franchise history. Juan Gonzalez, Ruben Sierra, Julio Franco, and Rafael Palmeiro power the potent offense and pitchers Charlie Hough, Bobby Witt, Kevin Brown, and Kenny Rogers gelled under manager Johnny Oates. For the first time Rangers fans were waiting for playoff tickets to go on the market in 1996. The Rangers went to the playoffs three times in four years, but always failed to beat the Yankees in the first round. Rangers tickets continued to hold great potential as the club signed Alex Rodriguez to a record breaking contract, but ultimately the team started a cycle of futility that is just starting to break now.
