Houston Astros Tickets
The Astros started out as a struggling expansion team just trying to find their way out of last place. Although the team improved in the ‘70s, it was not until the 1980s when Nolan Ryan and Joe Morgan were added for leadership that Houston seriously started to get ready for playoff tickets. The Astros ended up finishing in first three times that decade and contending in most of the remaining seasons.
The next decade, Houston became enthralled with Craig Biggio and Jeff Bagwell. The duo played together from 1991 to 2005 and brought home four division titles, a couple of wild cards, and a World Series appearance. Astros tickets were worth it for the most part, with only two losing seasons over the 15 year span.
Since then the team has struggled to find itself a new dynamic duo to replace the two future Hall of Famers. Minute Maid Park has looked to Carlos Lee and Lance Berkman have been doing their best to recreate the magic the two Houston baseball legends brought for years.

Houston Astros 2009 Season Recap
|
 The Houston Astros finished fifth in the NL Central in the 2009 MLB season. The team would be last place if not for the Pittsburgh Pirates. Finishing 17 back of the first place team is never something to be proud of, and the terrible baseball that took place on the field at Minute Maid Park only illuminated that fact. The Astros struggled to drive in runners once they got base, as evident by the team have the eighth best batting average in the NL and the 14th worst run production. The pitching struggled in the starting rotation and the bullpen as well. Still, some players had nice seasons. Shortstop Miguel Tejada did not get his power back, but he did hit .313. Left fielder Carlos Lee hit .300 with 26 homeruns and 102 RBI. Centerfielder Michael Bourn stole 61 bases. Right fielder Hunter Pence and Lance Berkman each hit 25 homeruns. The Houston pitching staff was similarly not all bad news. The Astros have a new closer for the 2010 schedule with Jose Valverde and Wandy Rodriguez and Roy Oswalt are still two good starters. Rodriguez only went 14-12, but had a 3.02 ERA. Oswalt did not have his best year, but did have a decent ERA of 4.12 to go with an 8-6 record. The baseball team has a long way to go in the winter. They have to decide whether to gut the roster and start over or whether to give it one more chance. Houston Astros tickets should be a great time either way at Minute Maid Park.
