Colorado Rockies Tickets The Colorado Rockies had a strong season in 2009. They went 92-70 and finished second in the NL West. They took the wild card in the National League and made an appearance in the MLB playoffs for the second time in three seasons. Unfortunately, this time they went out in the first round, losing to the Philadelphia Phillies in four games. Colorado Rockies tickets were a great buy after the initial month-long struggle. The 2010 baseball season could be just as rewarding for Rockies fans. Little has changed on the field. The only major change to note is that Carlos Gonzalez is the starter full time in left field. Colorado maintains the incredible offense. Shortstop Troy Tulowitzki, third baseman Ian Stewart, second baseman Clint Barmes, and right fielder Brad Hawpe are all decent power hitters. Todd Helton, the first baseman, is a rare contact hitting first baseman and center fielder Dexter Fowler is the speed guy for this run machine. The pitching was actually a middle of the road pitching team. Ubaldo Jimenez is the de facto ace of the staff. The rotation is completed with Aaron Cook, Jeff Francis, Jorge De La Rosa, and Jason Hammel. None of these guys really stands out but they seem to do a half way decent job despite playing in Coors Field. Closer Huston Street is a very good player as well. His ERA may be a little high, but always consider that the ERA is inflated by the 81 games in thin air.

 In the Colorado Rockies inaugural season in 1993 they made good on the promise for an explosive offense thanks in large part to the thin air at the base of the Rocky Mountains. Fans throughout Denver rushed the stadium booths for Rockies tickets. Those who could get seats waited outside for Blake Street Bombs. Andres Galarraga, Dante Bichette, Lary Walker, and Vinnie Castilla were the launching pads for years. The additions of Ellis Burks and homegrown prospect Todd Helton only made the offense more potent. By the 1995 season the Rockies had blessed the inaugural season at Coors Field with playoff tickets. Unfortunately the years that followed found pitchers who could not handle the high ERAs and high loss totals that marred their careers. It was not until 2007 that the Colorado Rockies found a staff that did not find an entire season at Coors to be detrimental. That season, on the strength of a late season push, got the club back into the playoffs. Fans eagerly purchased Rockies tickets as the team went further than ever expected, reaching the World Series, where the magi ultimately ran out.
