Background - Cincinnati Reds
The most impressive is the Big Red Machine of the 1970s that won four National League Pennants and two World Series. The team sold tickets with an explosive offense packed with Joe Morgan, Ken Griffey Sr., George Foster, Dave Concepcion, and Pete Rose. The amazing collection of talent brought the World Series back to Cincinnati for its first World Series victory in 35 years in 1975. The very first year of the decade was a tremendous success. Chris Sabo, Barry Larkin, Eric Davis, and Paul O'Neill did their best to recreate the Big Red Machine and Rob Dibble, Norm Charleston, and Randy Myers were able to provide the pitching as the Reds brought World Series tickets and rings home with a clean sweep of the heavily-favored Oakland Athletics.

 The Cincinnati Reds start the second half of the MLB schedule in fourth place in the National League Central and the first of the division's long shots to turn things around this season and take the division title. The individual performances have been quite stellar so far this season. Adam Dunn may be batting in the .230s, but his power numbers are really very impressive this summer. He is second in the majors in home runs and in the top twenty in RBIs. The batter makes every plate appearance, every game an adventure. His big swing is not the only reason to buy Reds tickets, despite the team's struggle overall with pitching Edinson Volquez is having an amazing season. His 12-3 record and 2.49 ERA might even be better on another team.
