They went to the playoffs as the wild card team though, but got swept in the first round by the Los Angeles Angels. Still, this Boston team needs to figure out how to shore up the relief staff in between the top notch starting pitching staff and terrific closer Jonathan Papelbon. The winter is far from over, so there could be a few more moves for a complete upheaval of the middle relief.
