Seattle Mariners

Seattle Mariners Tickets

The Seattle Mariners seems promising this year with the signing of new players like Manny Pina and Logan Kensing as free agents. The team has also signed with the best catcher John Bucker for the 2014 season. The season looks bright with these signings because all of the mentioned players are some of the best baseball players in the United States. The franchise has also signed other exceptional players like Robinson Cano, Felix Hernandez, Hisashi Iwakumi and Taijuan Walker. All these players give the team a solid ground for the start of the 2014 season. This trade of players seems to give the team some positive credibility among fans and in the American League West.

Eric Wedge has been the team`s former manager since 2011 and for the 2 years he has been in charge the team has not displayed any major success in the previous leagues. In the 2014 season the franchise is set to make drastic shifts in terms of points because their newly signed player John Buck is known to be the best in block pitches in the dirt. He has played over 90 games in eight of the last nine seasons making him an indispensable baseball player. The team has 61 players with 40 rosters and 21 non-roster including 30 pitchers 12 non-rosters, 7 catchers 4 non-rosters, 14 infielders 4 non-rosters and 10 outfielders 1 non-roster. The 2014 season for the franchise in the minor leagues seems promising because they have new signings from professional baseball players. However, in the Major League Baseball (MLB) league seems promising with the finalization of John Buck who’s under the ACES agency. The team recently hired a new coach known as Llyod Mc Clendon on November, 2013. He introduced an entirely new coaching system and staff in preparations of the new 2014 MLB season. In case the franchise has a home game they host their challengers in the Safeco field which has a carrying capacity of 54,097 fans.

Seattle Mariners

Seattle Mariners History

The Seattle Mariners have more than three decades of professional baseball under their belt, and the franchise has not had a bad run. The club has not won a World Series, but the team has won three division titles in the AL West and its fans have been able to watch some incredible players begin their Hall of Fame careers as one of the M’s.

Before the Mariners began playing in the Pacific Northwest, the city of Seattle had a very brief professional experience with the Pilots. The Pilots left after one season, but the city managed to successfully sue the MLB and waited seven years for the new team. Those 1977 Mariners were bad, as were the M’s over the course of the next 13 seasons.

Things finally started getting good and staying good in the middle of the 1990s. Randy Johnson, Ken Griffey, Jr., and Alex Rodriguez were MVPs, Cy Young Award winners, and All Stars. Seattle baseball fans suddenly expected the chance to purchase Mariners tickets for at least a postseason series.

By the end of the 20th century, those stars had left. Somehow, as each star left, the team got better. Eventually the franchise would need a star, and they got one in the form of a 28-year-old rookie from the Nippon Professional Baseball league.

Ichiro Suzuki, the rookie mentioned above, started his MLB career with a Rookie of the Year Award and an AL MVP. He would also enjoy the first of 10-straight all-star game appearances and golden glove awards. Suzuki won the MVP his rookie year because of his incredible stats and because the Seattle Mariners won a MLB-record tying 116 games. The season ended in the ALCS, but the fans had a reason to hope the Mariners would soon play in their first World Series. The team would remain competitive for a couple of seasons afterward, but eventually Ichiro would leave and the club would begin rebuilding around a new star, Felix Hernandez.
