They optimistic fans expect Rickie Weeks to be among the very best offensive second basemen in the MLB, they hope Aramis Ramirez simply needed a change of scenery, and Corey Hart remains an under the radar force able to bash 20 homeruns. It would certainly help if Mat Gamel can live up to his billing as a first base prospect and if Jonathan Lucroy could hit like it was the beginning of the 2012 MLB season. Though the offense is a gamble, the starting rotation is a sure thing, at least at the front. Zach Greinke and Yovani Gallardo are an underrated duo. Greinke's supposed statistical struggles were more closely related to a comeback form the DL than a letdown bound to last seasons. Instead, expect him to remain one of the most effective pitchers in baseball and expect Gallardo to be another strikeout king with a decent WHIP. Shaun Marcum enjoys a low WHIP and Randy Wolf is an innings-eater. Add anybody to the back of the order and this is perhaps the best starting rotation front to back in the National League.
