Matchbox Twenty Tickets for Sale
Matchbox Twenty is the American pop rock group that has been on nearly perpetually hiatus since the release of the band’s third album. Now the group is back with North, the first full-length release in five years. In addition to the new album, Matchbox Twenty tickets will be available for the first major North American tour in nearly as long.
The North Tour is scheduled to begin in the New Year and will be given a little boost with Phillip Phillips attachment as the supporting act. The American Idol winner will bring his Mumford and Sons-adjacent sound along to play for the group who will forever be remembered for the song “3 AM”. Rob Thomas and the guys have much more to offer than this one enduring single. The single came from one of the biggest breakout albums of all time, Yourself or Someone Like You. The record went diamond and had a couple of other big chart hits, including “Push” and “Real World.”
It seems only the hard core fans remember that Matchbox Twenty has two more platinum albums from which to draw material. Mad Season had “Bent” and “Of You’re Gone” and More Than You Think You Are has “Unwell and “Bright Lights”. These songs and albums kept the group busy on tour through the middle of the first decade in the 21st century.
Alas, fame can be fleeting, but diehard fans are more than willing to comeback to a band that has been quiet for more than five years and has been promising new material for more than two years. North makes good on this promise. The single “She’s So Mean” and its music video has a little fun with the story of a girl who is good for no one, but is undeniably hot. “Overjoyed” is a classic Matchbox Twenty tune.
This tour will be taking Rob Thomas and the guys around the country this winter. Though there could very well be Matchbox Twenty concert tickets for an extended live performance schedule, all that is known for now is that the group will be available for nearly 40 concerts before the tax deadline.
