Mark Salling is a young performer in the all too familiar singer-actor mold. The difference is that he did not begin as an actor who just stumbled into the recording studio with the aid of an autotuner. Mark Salling seems to have sincerely wanted to be both. Now, Mark Salling tickets sell to see the actor who stars in Glee and dabbles in genre-bending concept albums.
He began in show business in 1996 at the age of 14 with an appearance in Children of the Corn: The Gathering. The straight-to-video movie hardly sparked an Oscar-winning career. Instead, Mark Salling would play bit roles and tried to start his music career in 2007 with an album released under a stage name, Jericho. That album, released through his own label, Jericho Records, again, did not lead to fame.
Fame would come two years later after auditioning for a role on the surprise FOX hit Glee. As Noah "Puck" Puckerman, Mark Salling plays a football player and best friend of Finn Hudson. Eventually, Noah joins the club as well and becomes embittered in a love quadrangle whose plot twists run deep throughout the show.
