Mandy Moore Tickets for Sale

Although not as successful in the Teen Beat scene as peers Britney and Christina, Mandy Moore is quietly making her own way, both as a recording artist and an actress. Signed in 1999, Moore released her debut album later that year to mediocre reviews. A repackaged version of the same album came out the following year and fared slightly better. The lukewarm reception from critics didn't stop Moore from becoming the 'it' girl in other ways: the teen landed a spokes model job with Neutrogena and appeared in the movie, The Princess Diaries.

Teen dance-pop singer Mandy Moore was born in Nashua, NH on April 10, 1984 but raised in Orlando, FL; determined to be an entertainer from the age of six onward, she was later known throughout the Orlando area as the 'National Anthem Girl' for her regular performances of 'The Star Spangled Banner' at local sporting events. Breaking into the recording industry via voiceovers and commercials, in 1999 Moore became the latest Orlando teen to sign a record contract after landing at Sony; her debut album So Real appeared late that year. The album spawned a hit with 'Candy, a remix of which also appeared on her 2000 release I Wanna Be With You. A self-titled sophomore effort appeared in summer 2001. She has three cats: Milo, Zoe, and Chloe.

Amanda Leigh Moore, 10 April 1984, Nashua, New Hampshire, but raised in Orlando, Florida, USA. One of the big success stories of the US pop charts in 1999, Mandy Moore rose to prominence after touring dates with 'N Sync and the Backstreet Boys. Her debut single, 'Candy', sold half a million copies, many of the sales attributable to a promotional website that registered over 100,000 'hits' a day at its peak. Moore had wanted to be a performer from the age of six, when she sang the hits of the day. By the time she attended a summer musical camp aged nine she was even more convinced about her career prospects: 'My parents thought it was just a phase I'd grow out of, but I stuck to it and begged them for acting and voice lessons.' Before launching her solo career she became known as Orlando's National Anthem Girl, performing 'The Star Spangled Banner' at several sports events, including Chris Evert's Pro-Celebrity Tennis Tournament. Sales of 'Candy' were enough to convince 550 Music to rush-release So Real, her predictably over-produced debut album, before the end of the millennium. The album was repackaged as I Wanna Be With You, with the addition of five new songs, the following June. Mandy Moore showed a positive move into material of a more substantial nature; given the songs Moore certainly has the voice. The singer made an impressive acting debut the following year in A Walk To Remember.
