Luke Bryan kicked off 2012 with the release of the third single from Tailgates and Tanlines. "Drunk on You" has reached number 21 on the Billboard charts. Yet, this is not the biggest news from the country star. The biggest news is his inclusion on the My Kinda Party Tour 2012. He will be accompanying Jason Aldean from May 11, 2012 at the I Wireless Center in Moline, Illinois to the October 26, 2012 at the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion outside Houston, Texas.

Bryan has been attached to Aldean previously, playing as support during the 2010 Wide Open Tour for the fall leg. Bryan seems to be falling Aldean's footsteps. Enjoying support of his family and moving to Nashville to be ignored for years, toiling among the crowds of thousands of other musicians with big dreams. Now he has released a new EP, his fourth collection of Spring Break songs.

Luke Bryan History

Luke Bryan may have postponed his move to Nashville a few years, but the singer songwriter eventually made a name for himself in the country scene. His ambitions began when he was a growing up in Leesburg, Georgia and his parents bought him a guitar. Eventually, after going to college at Georgia Southern University, he would record a radio hit that spawned a career selling Luke Bryan tickets to fans across North America.

He moved to Nashville at the age of 25 in 2001 and struggled for four years before a talent scout from a record company discovered him. The appearance on Travis Tritt's album My Honky Tony History (2005) was his first introduction to a large audience. He had been playing at the same bars and clubs as the hundreds of other would-be country sensations.

Bryan finally scored his own single in 2007 with All My Friends Say. The song reached number five on the country charts. His next single, Good Directions, reached number one. Luke's debut album followed soon after. I'll Stay Me reached number two on the country charts and number 24 on the U.S. charts.

The album made him a radio mainstay and a touring favorite, though the record sales did not match the devotion of the fans he had won over. Luke Bryan followed his debut album with Doin' My Thing in 2009. The album best performing single has been Do I. It reached number two on the country single charts in the U.S. and number five on the Canadian country charts.

The country star has been wise enough to work with some of the other young talent coming out of Nashville. He wrote the title track for his second album with two members of Lady Antebellum and was fortunate to have Hillary Scott featured as a backup singer on the song. Tailsgates and Tanlines came next, reaching number one on the Billboard Country album chart and went gold in the United States and Canada. The album yielded platinum singles "Country Girl"" and "I Don't Want This Night to End". His fans have been waiting for the country sensation to tour again.
