Out of all members, Amis takes the charge of addressing crowd, introducing songs in fast, badly accented Spanish.
Meanwhile, In 1998, Esbeck was replaced by Pete Curry as he quited the band during the recording of album "The Velvet Touch of Los Straitjackets". Later, another line up replacement was followed when Lester left in 2005, He was replaced by Jason Smay. They are well known for sharing the stage and recordings quite frequently. They have collaborated with many distinguished artists till date. They have been nominated for a Grammy Award for their outstanding collaboration with blues singer Eddy Clearwater, "Rock 'N' Roll City".
