Local Natives Tickets for Sale
Local Natives is the Indie rock group from Orange County who bonded over music in high school and eventually made their high school hobby a profession. Local Natives tickets have been available as part of the supporting acts for folk rock heros like Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros and for shows at huge festivals like South by Southwest in Austin.
The band has been noted for its softer, afropop influence from the string section, some hyperactive drumming, and three-part harmonies that seem a little off-kilter. All group members sing and offer input, but officially Taylor Rice plays guitar; Kelcey Ayer plays guitar, keyboards, and percussion; Ryan Hahn plays guitar, keyboard, and mandolin; Andy Hamm plays bass; and Matt Frazier is the drummer.
The band played together for three years following the first wave of high school graduations, eventually deciding to move to Silver Lake, hole up in a house, and work on a debut studio album. The group funded its own recording in West Los Angeles, first releasing the album in the UK in November and eventually releasing the album in the U.S. The album, named after the affectionate nickname for their home base while writing the album, has successfully breached a couple of Billboard charts. It peaked at number three on the New Artist Chart and peaked at number 160 on the Billboard 200.
