LMFAO is a popular Los Angeles electro-hop group, consisting of Redfoo and Sky Blu, a pair of DJ/Rappers. The group's name comes from Sky Blu chatting with his grandmother on the internet; he told her the duo was going to go by the name Sexy Guys, to which she responded with the popular slang internet acronym, LMFAO.

With their drive and dedication toward creating an entire musical movement, LMFAO has emerged on the independent music scene as one of its more popular acts, with Sky Blu and Redfoo teaming to make music that crosses different genres, such as Electro, Hip-Hop, and Club.

Before becoming LMFAO, Blu and Foo had already rocked the beat as experimental DJs, who had a knack for rocking the show by bringing electro into the commercial club scene. With their own musical aspirations, LMFAO continues to produce their own Hollywood brand of hip-hop and electro while consistently still being able to provide that old school, house party atmosphere.

On a mission to make their ongoing party into a way of life, and get everyone else on the LMFAO bandwagon, the duo started making original dance songs in their studio apartment. In true do-it-yourself style, LMFAO released their first song, I'm In Miami, Bitch, on MySpace, while additionally branding their signature look; wearing loud colors, glasses with no lenses, and always staying fly with one of their self-designed shirts.

The boys are always on the job; touring constantly, keeping fans updated daily on YouTube, and basically just keeping it real with their own do-it-yourself approach of running their own record label and clothing line, Party Rock.
