Larry King
Background- Larry King is one of the most recognized broadcaster and interviewer in the world. Thanks to his popular show Larry King Live and Larry King Weekend that appears on CNN television seven days a week.
Larry King was born on November 19, 1933, in Brooklyn, New York. His full name is Lawrence Harvey Zeiger. He studied in the public schools in Brooklyn. He graduated from the Lafayette High School. After finishing his studies, he used to do odd jobs. As King admits "All the other kids were going to college, and I was working at the United Parcel Service. I was always telling everyone, 'I want to be a broadcaster.'" At the age of 22, he left Miami to find a job in radio. But once their nobody gave him a job at radio, but with his patience and continuous persistence, he was able to get a job in radio, but that of the job of cleaner and perform similar other tasks.
But he continued in this job. Lady Luck smiled upon him and when one of their announcers left the job, without prior notice, he stepped forward to offer himself. He did his broadcast in the year 1957, where he worked as the disc jockey. He also did two afternoon newscasts and a sportscast and was paid $55 a week. He also started conducting interview on a midmorning show for WIOD, and would interview anyone who walked in. Singer Bobby Darin, was the first celebrity interview guest. This show made him a star. He also hosted Miami Undercover, where important issues were debated. In the year 1962 he joined WIOD/Miami and started doing shows in television. In 1985, he joined CNN and from then on has never looked back.

In all, CNN claims that he conducted more than 40,000 interviews over the course of his career .
He was also honored for his contribution as a broadcaster. He won the Peabody Award for Excellence in broadcasting for both his radio in the year 1982 and television in the year 1992. He has also won 10 Cable ACE awards for Best Interviewer and for best Talk Show Series. King has also been inducted into the Radio Hall of Fame. He was named as, "the fourth-greatest radio talk show host of all time and also the top television talk show host of all time", by the the industry magazine Talkers in the year 2002. In both the lists, he was the only person to be placed in the top ten. He is also an honorary member of the Rotary Club of Beverly Hills and is the recipient of the President's Award, which was presented to him due to his impact on media from the Los Angeles Press Clubin in the year 2006.
