La Roux is a synthpop duo out of Brixton, London reminding everyone of groups like Erasure, Depeche Mode, and The Human League. Often, people think this is a solo act because of the synthetic sound, but the songs are the collaboration of Eleanor Jackson and Ben Langsmaid. Both members produce, write, and play keyboard, but only Eleanor is featured singing. La Roux tickets are available for an incredibly busy 2010 tour schedule if any care to find out.
The group has only been around since 2008 and when the band plays live concerts they need a little. Michael Norris helps with keyboards and computers, Mickey O'Brien helps with keyboards and backup singing, and William Bowerman plays drums for these shows.
La Roux formed in 2008, but Jackson and Langsmaid met in 2006 and almost immediately began working together. Their first work is as Automan is very similar to the current music, but without vocals. Once the duo changed their name and began adding Jackon's voice to the tracks, the group found a willing label in the French independent Kitsune Music in the December of 2008.
