Kid Rock and the Twisted Brown Trucker are touring the globe in 2013 in support of the controversial rock/rapper/country singer and his ninth studio album. Rebel Soul is an album dedicated to the celebrating the beginning of rock, back when it was called rock and roll. The tour will endear the seemingly ever changing musician to audiences once again, this time with Buckcherry and Hellbound Glory.

The performer began his musical journey as a rapper in theDetroitarea. He released three independent albums before hitting diamond certification with Devil Without a Cause. His name first began appearing on radio stations as “Bawitdaba” and “Cowboy” further bridged the gap between harder rock and rap. Both genres made light of sex and drugs and it took Kid Rock to make it clear both sides had too much in common to be at odds with each other. Though he would move on musically, he would keep the same image for a few more years.

From this point on, the man began experimenting with Southern rock while embracing more and more heavy metal. This move away from rap rock followed the style of the times. “American Bad Ass” proved to be a huge hit, only featuring elements of rap while fully embracing the guitar. With “Picture”, Kid Rock freely took on any music style he chose, singing a duet with Sheryl Crow that borders on adult contemporary.  A couple of years had returned to rock with Rock N Roll Jesus and “All Summer Long.

Kid Rock continues to experiment, as he has done with Rebel Soul. The key is the soul, the element that helped make rock and roll so successful. He bares his soul on tracks like “Let’s Ride” and “Happy New Year”. After a much needed off to find inspiration to record and release an album he will head begin touring again.
