Kevin Nealon was born November 18, 1953 in Bridgeport, Connecticut. He is an American comedian and actor. Kevin Nealon is best known for the characters he essayed on Saturday Night Live between 1986 and 1995. These characters include Mr. Subliminal or Subliminal Message Man, Mr. No Depth Perception, Franz of Hans and Franz, and the anchor of Weekend Update among many others. He fit himself into these different characters with ease.

Acting was not Nealon's first love. He graduated from from Sacred Heart University with a bachelor's degree in marketing. Gradually he realized the acting skills in him and wanted to pursue a career in acting. So he started doing many stand-up comedies as a part timer. It was during this time that he learned and improved his acting skills as a comedian. Finally in 1984, he debuted on network television with ‘The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson'. Then the big thing happened in 1986. Saturday Night Live recruited Dana Carvey, a friend of Nealon who in turn recommended him. Both friends became a part of the cast that year. However, it was in 1987-1988 season that Nealon became a full-time performer. He remained in this role for nine long years.

In 1987 Nealon made his feature debut playing a small part as a drunk in "Roxanne". In 1991, "All I Want for Christmas" was released in which he played a smarmy businessman standing in the way of the children's game plans of reconciling their divorced parents. Moving to primetime, co-star in "Champs" which was produced by DreamWorks in 1996. His second attempt at comedy series, came with "Hiller & Diller" which was aired during 1997-98. It showed him pairing up with Richard Lewis as a comedy-writing team.

In 2002, Kevin Nealon was cast in the comedy documentary "Comedian," starring Jerry Seinfield. He then lend his voice to breath life into the character of Mayor in the animated feature "Adam Sandler's 8 Crazy Nights" which was released in 2002. He again featured with Sandler with a role in "Anger Management" released in 2003. He also started in films such as ‘Joe Dirt' and ‘Master of Disguise' along with his co-stars of Saturday Night Live. Then came his association with Eddie Murphy in the popular comedy ‘Daddy Day Care' which was released in 2003.

All these while, Nealon was shuttling between films and Television. He hosted projects such as the TNT series "The Conspiracy Zone" and other specials which include "Poker Royale: The WPPA Championship" as well as "Funniest Commercials of the Year: 2004". He also made guest appearance in "Monk," and "Fat Actress". He was also a part time host at "Jimmy Kimmel Live", a late night talk show.

In 2005 Nealon got some of the best appreciations of his career for his role in "Weeds", a Showtime comedy series. In this series, he plays the role of Doug Wilson, a Los Angeles's city councilman.
