But the awards didn't stop there. As recognition of Camp's lyrical talent and musical abilities began to spread and soar, the awards just kept pouring in. Awards he received the Songwriter of the Year award and the Song of the Year award. He also garnered two 2006 CCM Reader's Choice Awards.

Artist Biography - Jeremy Camp
|
 This much-decorated singer and songwriter has always held a very special place in his heart and life for his fans, who affectionately refer to themselves as Happy Campers. When he released a special edition of his album Restored, Camp enclosed a special letter that he had written just for his fans as well as four new songs as an extra bonus.
Camp was born and raised a devout Christian and is the proud son of Pastor Tom Owen Camp of the Harvest Church in Indiana. Camp also experienced grief and tragic loss too early in life when he lost his lovely wife Melissa to ovarian cancer when she was just 21, he was 23. The incident left a lasting impression on him and is reflected in much of his music that was written at the time. He is currently married to Adrienne Liesching, formerly of Benjamin's Gate.
