Jason Mraz
Jason Mraz, a singer/songwriter who emerged from the city of Mechanicsville, VA, derives his inspiration from the popular singer Dave Matthews Band and several other local musicians such as Agents Of Good Roots. In the beginning Mraz had a deep interest towards musical theater and this is how he developed more interest towards music. While he was still in his teen age, Jason shifted to New York and it was over here that he attended the American Musical and Dramatic Academy .
However, he did not continue his course at the academy and dropped out of the institution. During this time he started focusing on the guitar playing and enhanced his skills in songwriting. He even received a full fledged training to make his vocals crystal clear. The talented artist after a long wait released his debut album "Waiting For My Rocket To Come," which was released in the year of 2002. This album was released when he signed a contract with the Elektra Records and moved back to Virginia, where he recorded his debut album.

 He finally settled in San Diego, CA, and began performing at the local area shops. In the mean while he even got opportunity to perform with several other bands. Later on he met drummer Toca Rivera and made a pair with him to showcase their talented skills. His debut album had all the elements of country and rock with some traits of jazz, folk ans hip-hop.
Other follow up albums which were released during this time were "Tonight, Not Again: Jason Mraz Live At The Eagles Ballroom," which was released in the year of 2004, followed by last year's release "Mr. A-Z," which rocked the audience through out the world.
