Jadakiss was born in the year 1975 in Yonkers, New York. His real name is Jason Phillips May. He is a Nigerian-American rapper. He is a member of band The L.O.X. as well as the band D-Block. When he was only twelve years old, he started taking part in singing competition. Later along with his friends, he was given the opportunity to appear in the competition in the Jack the Rapper Competition in Florida. It was in this competition that Jadekiss was noticed for his battle rap ability. In the year 1994, he formed the rap group along with his friends Sheek Louch and Styles P, Warlox. They, then signed up with Bad Boy Entertainment. They also changed their name to the LOX, which came to be known as the Living Off eXperience. It was in the year 1994, that they made their first appearance on The Main Source's LP "Fuck What You Think" on the track "Set it Off". Subsequently, they developed a close relationship with The Notorious B.I.G., and they got together. Together they released their first album in the year 1997 "We'll Always Love Big Poppa", the B-side to Puff Daddy's "I'll Be Missing You". The album was a multi-platinum hit. In the year 1998, LOX came out with their next album "Money, Power, Respect", after which they left Bad Boy Records.

Apart from doing albums with his group, Jada also did some solo project. He released his debut solo album, "Kiss the Game Goodbye", which was released in the year 2001 under the label of Ruff Ryders/Interscope. The album consists of some famous guests and producers such as Snoop Dogg and Swizz Beatz. Though, the album was not a major hit, still it gathered some friends. In the year 2004, he released his second album "Kiss of Death". From the album, the song, "Why?", was one of the biggest hits of that year. The song was done into remix that featured Styles P, Common, Nas, and Anthony Hamilton. "Kiss of Death" reflected his gaining popularity in the musical field and though was received well by his fans. The song "Why" was again remixed in the year 2005, with Immortal Technique and DJ Green Lantern's "Bin Laden". He is influenced by Jay-Z, The Notorious B.I.G., Nas, Mobb Deep, Kool G Rap & DJ Polo, EPMD.
