This band always had something more going for them than a catchy new set of lyrics. The Hot Chelle Rae bio would be incomplete if the founding band mates' family history went unattended. Ryan Follese, a.k.a. RK, and his brother Jamie are sons of country songwriter Keith Follese. Though he never made it as a singer, he did pen quite a few songs for country superstars like Randy Travis, Lone Star, and Faith Hill. Nash Overstreet is the son of another country singer-songwriter Paul Overstreet and btother of actor Chad Overstreet. Ian Keaggy is son of Phil Keaggy, a GMA Dove Award-winning Christian musician. They formed Hot Chelle Rae in 2005. Two years later they were opening for Lil Jon and playing at the South by Southwest Music Festival. That same year they went on tour with the band Vedera. RK serves as the lead singer, Nash Overstreet is the lead guitarist, Ian Keaggy is the bassist, and Jamie Follese is the drummer. Together they have released two albums, Lovesick Electric in 2009 and Whatever in 2011. The debut album, released through Jive Records, yielded two singles, "I Like to Dance" and "Bleed". It was "Tonight, Tonight" that proved a breakthrough for the group. The multiplatinum single has spurned Hot Chelle Rae's first headlining tour. OnlineSeats has the Hot Chelle Rae tickets to enjoy this new band as they tour the countryside.
